The waters of southern Fuerteventura, between Morro Jable and Jandía, are rich in marine life and one of the best spots in the archipelago for cetacean watching. Where the trips leave from
Most trips leave from the port of Morro Jable, in the south, the area with the most cetacean activity. There are also trips from Caleta de Fuste, on the east coast, closer to the hotels in the centre of the island. They run by catamaran or boat, often combined with time for a swim and snorkelling.

You can head out all year round —Fuerteventura's mild climate allows it— though the sea is usually calmer in the less windy months. No trip can guarantee a sighting: these are wild animals, but in this area the odds are high.
